  • BOOK REVIEW: Comfort & Joy

My dear knitting friend, Melynda has recently published her first knitting book, Comfort & Joy and today I'm honored to be part of her blog/book tour! Before I get into how wonderful this book is, I'd like to take a little trip down memory-lane… Melynda and I randomly met in 2010 online via Ravelry. She commented on a cute little boy sweater I had just finished (Tweezie) and that is all it took! • BOOK REVIEW: Grown

I’m honored to be one of the stops on the ‘Grown’ blog tour! Grown is the newest book self-published my friend and fellow knitwear designer, Kate Oates. The talented Kate is very well known for her line of knitting patterns for children for Tot Toppers. Kate has had such success with her line of children designs that she decided to take 10 of her well-known and loved children’s patterns and transform them into adult versions. What a brilliant idea, right?! With that came the birth of Grown… Grown is a refined collection that features raglan-style sweater designs with very little finishing and sewing....

  • NEW PATTERNS: Day Trip & Two Track

Field Trip, A 2016 Plucky Knitter Collection, just released yesterday and I'm so honored to be part of the beautiful collaboration! For this collection I designed two garments that I'm extremely proud of and I hope they find their way to your needles ;) Meet Two Track. Knit with Plucky Lodge Worsted, this design takes a basic box-shaped sweater and adds exposed seams and unexpected pops of color on the sleeves/cuffs. This seamless design has unusual construction. Worked side-to-side starting at the cuffs, each half is joined down the center using an exposed three-needle bind-off. Neck and bottom rib are picked up and...
