  • Sunday Funday - Pattern Details

    If you follow me on Instagram you'll see that I've been posting photos of my next sweater design, Sunday Funday! 

     

    Although the pattern won't be ready for release until early August 2021, I've had a lot of inquires to the yardage and pattern info. I know this valuable info will help with pattern planning so I'm happy to share it below…

     

    SIZE: 1 (2, 3, 4, 5)
    Suggested ease range: 10-15” / 25-37.5 cm of positive ease. Sample shown is a size 2 and worn with approx 14” of positive ease at the bust. See schematic on page 2 for complete sweater measurements.

     

    FINISHED MEASUREMENTS: • Approx 42 (48, 56, 62, 68)" / 105 (120, 140, 155, 170) cm at bust circumference

     

    YARN:
    Dapper Dye Works, Sterling (70% Baby Alpaca, 20% Silk, 10% Cashmere; 245 yd / 224 m per 100 g); in colors Moon Mist (C1) 1 (1, 2, 2, 2) skein(s), Perfectly Pesto (C2) 1 (1, 1, 1, 1) skein, Perdy (C3) 1 (1, 1, 1, 1) skein, and After Shave (C4) 3 (4, 4, 5, 5) skein(s)

    Or… dk weight yarn in the following amount:
    • C1: Approx 208 (238, 277, 307, 337) yd / 189 (216, 252, 279, 306) m
    • C2: Approx 129 (147, 172, 190, 208) yd / 117 (134, 156, 173, 189) m
    • C3: Approx 129 (147, 172, 190, 208) yd / 117 (134, 156, 173, 189) m
    • C4: Approx 703 (803, 937, 1037, 1138) yd / 639 (730, 852, 943, 1035) m

     

    GAUGE: 20 sts x 28 rnds/rows = 4”/ 10 cm in St st, knit flat and in the round, blocked

    NEEDLES:
    Needles listed are suggested. Always take time to swatch.
    • Gauge Needle: Size US 6 (4.0 mm) 16", 32", 40", and 60" (for sizes 62" and above) circular needle and DPNs—or size necessary to obtain gauge
    • Smaller Needle: Size US 5 (3.75 mm) 16" / 40 cm and 24" / 60 cm or longer circular needles and DPNs—or one size smaller than Gauge Needle
    • Spare needle in Gauge Needle size or smaller, to be used for Three-Needle Bind Off

     

    TOOLS:
    2 Removable stitch markers, 1 BOR stitch marker, stitch holders/waste yarn, and tapestry needle

     

    NOTES:
    • Sweater is knit in the round from the bottom up until the body separates for sleeves - then it is worked flat. Shoulders are joinedtogether with a Three-Needle Bind Off. Sleeves are then picked up and worked in the round to the cuff. The neckline is then picked up and worked in a 1x1 twisted rib.
    • Short Rows are used to shape shoulders.
