• BOOK REVIEW: Henry's Hat

My little guy has a new favorite book (and so do I)… it's Henry's Hat!

And it's not just my youngest (2) that loves this book, my older two boys (4 & 6) do as well. This is the 4th storybook book release from the dynamic husband and wife duo, Joanna (writer and knitwear designer) and Eric (illustrator and graphic designer) Johnson of Slate Falls Press.

Henry's Hat is a charming story about a chipmunk that has lost his favorite hand-knit hat. Through the book, you'll follow Henry on a journey through his woodland neighborhood meeting the most unique characters along the way.

Just like the other storybooks from Slate Falls, the illustrations are AMAZING. The details and additions of familiar objects are so special too. My boys particularly loved seeing the legos on the ground, frogs fishing and the big neighborhood football game!

On top of the sweet story, the back of the book contains knitting patterns that relate to the book. From the official, Henry's Hat, to Henry's Letter Sweater as well as an adorable Henry Chipmunk doll.

I can't say enough good things about the storybooks from Slate Falls Press. These books are a true treasure to my child's library and also to my knitting book library.

To get a copy of your own, go to the Slate Falls Press website for a directory of yarn shops that carry the line. You can also go to the Slate Falls Knits Etsy shop to get a signed copy and also browse their other books, patterns, stationery and more!

You definitely don't have to be a child to love these books. I do hope Henry's Hat finds it's way to your library!
