Winter Trellis is a heavy weight version of my Summer Trellis design. Knit top-down and worked in-the-round, the decorative lattice pattern encircling the yoke is the show-stopping feature to this design. The unique texture of The Farmers Daughter Fibers Pishkun yarn gives this sweater even more dimension. The end result is a very flattering, versatile sweater to add to your handknit wardrobe.

NEEDLES:Needles listed are suggested. Always take time to swatch.Note: Depending on the size knit, a longer circular gauge needle may be needed to accommodate yoke and body stitches. Use the appropriate length for the size you are making.

    • Gauge Needle: Size US 6 (4.0 mm) 16” / 40 cm and 24” / 60 cm circular needles—or size necessary to obtain gauge

    • Smaller Needle: Size US 5 (3.75 mm) 16” / 40 cm and 24”/ 60 cm circular needles — or one size smaller than gauge needle

    • Piece is worked both top-down and in-the-round.
    • A provisional cast on is used for the neck. Neckline edging is added after completion so you may easily customize fit at the top.
    • Short rows are used before yoke split to raise the back of the neck.
    • Both charted and written instructions are available for the yoke patterning.
    • Hi-low hem at bottom is achieved using short rows.
