    The Bay Breeze Tee is a perfect go-to knit for Spring and Summer. This top-down design has beautiful open stitchwork that progresses down the yoke. You can wear this lightweight tee as is, or layer it over a shirt and you have a great transitional knit for all seasons. Designed in North Bay Fiber Elemental Fingering, the 100% Cormo creates a fine wool fabric you will cherish for years to come.

    FINISHED BUST MEASUREMENT: 
    Suggested Ease Range: 4–6” / 10–15cm of positive ease at the bust. Sample shown is size 39.25” and worn with 5" of positive ease.

    YARN:

    RECOMMENDED:
    North Bay Fiber, Elemental Fingering (100% domestic Cormo wool; 465 yd/425 m per 100 g); 2 (3, 3, 3, 4, 4, 4, 5, 5) skeins

    Sample shown in color Daisy. 

    OR light fingering weight yarn in the approx yardage: 879 (1021, 1153, 1297, 1461, 1645, 1756, 1889, 2042)yds / 799 (928, 1048, 1179, 1328, 1495, 1596, 1717, 1856)m

     

    GAUGE:
    • 24 sts x 36 rnds = 4"/10cm in Stockinette stitch, worked in the round, blocked

     

    NEEDLES:
    Needles listed are suggested. Always take time to swatch. Note: Depending on the size knit, a longer circular Gauge Needle may be needed to accommodate yoke and body stitches. Use the appropriate length for the size you are making.
    • Gauge Needle: Size US 4 (3.5mm) 16", 32", 40" and 60" (for sizes 58"/145cm and above) circular needles—or size necessary to obtain gauge
    • Smaller Needle: Size US 3 (3.25mm) 16", 32", 40" and 60" (for sizes 58"/145cm and above) circular needles and DPNs—or one size smaller than gauge needle

      

    TOOLS:
    Stitch markers, waste yarn, and tapestry needle

     

    NOTES:
    • Piece is worked in-the-round from the top down.
    • Directions are written for the smallest size, with larger sizes in parentheses.
    • Short row shaping is used before the Yoke Increases to raise the back of neck.
    • Sleeve stitches from the Yoke are placed on waste yarn while the Body is worked in the round to the bottom edge. Sleeve stitches are then returned to the needles and worked in the round to the Cuff.
    • For short rows, sample shown uses the method for Japanese Short Rows in the round. Follow THIS LINK for tutorial.
    • Neckline is worked last and is picked up from the provisional cast-on.
